We are souls wrapped in flesh and blood, with will, emotion and heart. A holistic approach to health and movement means we exercise our bodies with our hearts, spirits and minds awakened and alert. While we may set goals, there is no comparison nor failures. While we may progress, there is grace for setbacks. At MindfullyMove, we work to celebrate all body types, fitness levels, faith backgrounds, and journeys of life, by brining them together through the art of moving with mindfulness.


My Story
Be the best version of you!
I danced classical ballet + contemporary and classical modern for 8 years prior to completing a 500-hour Master Holy Yoga Instructor certification in 2015. My yoga training highlighted a trauma-informed instruction and healing through Christ-centered faith. Most recently, I trained as a professional ballroom and latin instructor and competitor.
Through working with groups and individuals, my goal is to cultivate space for others to experience freedom and health in the body and mind through movement.

I've personally encountered emotional and spiritual healing in the Presence of a Loving God through these types of movement while enjoying the physical health benefits of mindful movement, too. It brings me happiness and joy to share my passion for movement with others!

​Recognizing the potential in each one of my students allows me to use a customizable approach in my sessions. Success in learning encompasses the Instructor's awareness of student(s)' learning style and teaching accordingly. I work with patience, adaptability, and professionalism in the art of Dance, Yoga, and the fusion of yoga-dance movement, incorporating mindfulness into each practice.

A teacher who knows the subject well can inspire others by teaching what she knows. Together we'll focus on building a solid foundation in order to grow skills of being present. We emphasize self-exploration, trust, and taking healthy risks.

Ballet-Based + Expressive Movement
While "Ballroom" is called the "Mother of Dances," Ballet is the foundation of technique for styles including modern, jazz, lyrical, etc. Starting with the basics of foot positions + articulation, posture + alignment, and turn-out, I provide the tools and guidance needed to help each body excel. Take advantage of the experienced training I offer to build your own repertoire of movement.

Yoga means to yoke our breath, movement, and meditation (mindfulness). I like to say that a yoga instructor is simply present to guide and model for students how to make his or her own choices in the moment, to honor and love themselves well. My teaching style motivates students toward positive choices, healthy risk, self-compassion, and growing confidence. I facilitate movement and help guide students to recognize safe spaces with their own breath and movement. Each session is planned with an emphasis on individual self care.

We have all experienced the busy hustle of a fast-paced life, distractions, and a lack of attentiveness. I help prepare and provide a safe space through guided meditation and imagination for you to quiet the chatter within and around you and embrace stillness. There are no expectations in this practice. My hope is simply that you encounter peace and enjoy the process.
